Children in receipt of Government Funding:
'Nursery Education Funding (NEF) is only intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services.’
If you live and work in England you may be entitled to 30 hours funded childcare support from the term after your child turns 9 months old, until they start school.
You can usually get funded childcare for working parents if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:
- in work or starting a new job
- on sick leave or annual leave
- on shared parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave
The amount of funded childcare you can get depends on:
- your child’s age and circumstances
- your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
- your immigration status
If you are not eligible for the working parent offer you will still receive the 15 hour entitlement for all 3 and 4 year olds from the term after your child turns 3 until they start school, irrespective of your income level, benefit status, or family circumstances.
If you or your child receive some additional forms of support, you may be eligible for 15 hours early learning for 2 year olds under a separate scheme and you should speak to your local council and/or provider in the first instance. If you are eligible, you should still apply for the working parent entitlement, but you will receive 15 hours from each scheme (up to a maximum of 30 hours in total).
How we offer the funding:
As a small setting we will have limited space for the additional hours, therefore our priorities will be current clientele with any other space offered to new customers on a first come first serve basis within our specified sessions. To remain sustainable we are unable to be flexible with hours if they fall out of our specified sessions, e.g. 3pm finish would be classed as a full day, not an additional hour.
Funding will be spread over the full year giving families 11 or 22 funded hours per week.
Please note that children who attend for Term time only, a place cannot be guaranteed from one term to the next.
A partially refundable deposit of £100 will be charged to hold a place for the term a child is due to start. £50 of this will be refunded at the end of the first full months attendance.
Non-attendance will result in the forfeit of the deposit.
Parents will be required to complete a parent claim form. For more information, please contact the nursery. You can also click on the link below:
